About Us

Established in 1997, the Center for Business Law and New Technologies includes over one hundred members.

The Center consists of private and criminal law faculty members from the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Law School. It includes more than 25 professors or associate professors, 4 lecturers, and around 50 PhD students, as well as research fellows from the private sector.

From its founding, the Center has been characterized by its multidisciplinary approach, collaborating on nationwide and worldwide projects with computing, economics, or sociology research centers. Within Paris Saclay, the Center has taken a significant role over the last few years in developing its relationship with the French Institute for Public-Private Partnership Research and Training (VEDECOM), dedicated to individual, carbon-free and sustainable mobility, the Interactions between Science, Innovation and Society Institute, and Innovating for a Sustainable Future (INP) at the Grenoble Institute of Technology. The Center is widely known for its expertise on complementary themes, including contracts, competition, market, corporate organization and governance, corporate law, labor and employment law, social and environmental regulation, international commercial arbitration, intellectual property and information technology law, personal data, digital law and networks.

Mélanie Clément-Fontaine is the director of the Center.
